SOLUTION: AHL provided a millwide CNCG, SOG/Methanol and DNCG system upgrade for the 7500 admtpd pulp mill.
BENEFITS: All CNCG and DNCG sources are captured and not vented into the atmosphere resulting in improved air quality to meet government compliance.

ISSUE: The need to cost-effectively incinerate elemental sulphur to generate sulphur dioxide..
SOLUTION: AHL provided a skid-mounted Sulphur Burner system coupled to an Absorption & Tail Gas Scrubbing System, as part of a greenfield installation for a chemical / fertilizer production facility.
BENEFITS: Our custom Sulphur Burner/Absorption/Scrubbing System was supplied fully automated and as completely furnished modules. The sulphur burner uses air atomization of the molten sulphur to provide a wide turn-down ratio and high strength sulphur dioxide product gas. Sulphur trioxide generation is minimized and sulphur carryover avoided by maintaining tight air/fuel ratio control. The design accommodates a future addition of a Waste Heat Boiler (WHB) to generate HP steam.

ISSUE: Mill owners wanted to generate a value-added product from the SOG system.
SOLUTION: AHL provided a patented modular methanol purification system.
BENEFITS: The system distills the recovered biomethanol to 99.85% or higher purity. Retrofits to existing stripping systems to produce a commercial biofuel for revenue.
