Wet Electrostatic Precipitator, Wet ESP 2017-05-24T18:52:48+00:00

Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (Wet ESP or WESP) system is widely accepted as the leading technology for control of fine particulate emissions.

A.H. Lundberg’s Wet Electrostatic Precipitators can achieve:

  • up to 99% collection efficiency.

  • outlet loading of less than 10 mg/Nm³.

Wet Electrostatic Precipitator

The collection of fine particulate emissions is often one of the most difficult environmental control problems faced by industry. These sub-micron particles present a significant threat to human health and are one of the leading causes of smog. Thus, there is increasing regulatory pressure to reduce the emission of these particles to the environment. Industrial operators are looking for technologies that can meet this challenge at reasonable capital and operating costs.

AHL’s Wet ESP was invented to solve this challenge.  The electrostatic precipitator design features a proprietary disk-in-tube electrode configuration and state-of-the-art high frequency power supply to maximize the total electric field and available power to ensure the highest possible particulate collecting efficiency.

Our engineered approach includes:

  • Full turnkey installation including tie-ins to the process

  • Integrated water recycle, treatment and disposal systems

  • Upstream and downstream chemical scrubbing, where necessary

  • Heavy-duty construction with stainless steel on all internal surfaces

  • Higher corrosion resistant materials of construction available to meet process requirement as necessary

AHL will design the inlet of the Wet ESP for upflow or downflow gas handling to meet the requirements of the waste stream. Heavy duty modular construction guarantees easy installation and long service life.
