GeoCat® Catalytic Oxidizer
The GeoCat® Regenerative Catalytic Oxidizer provides the printing and converting industries with a proven, low temperature solution for VOC emission control where catalyst poisoning compounds such as sulphur are not present.
Similar to construction of the GeoTherm® RTO, but operating at 450 °C instead of 850 °C the GeoCat® is smaller and less expensive in capital and operating cost compared to an equivalent duty RTO.
Features of the GeoCat® Catalytic Oxidizer include:
- The floating catalyst bed design with individual dampers allows optimum gas flow through the unit
- A choice of catalyst types is available including pelletized and monolith
- Total system enclosure allows the units to operate indoors or outdoors, and allows easy access to all components
- Efficient heat exchanger operation allows up to 95 percent heat recovery
- Up to 99 percent VOC destruction efficiency meets compliance with strict emission regulations
- Modules are available in a range of sizes for gas flows from 1700 Nm3/h up to 50,000 Nm3/h
- Higher gas flows are accommodated by installing multiple units in parallel
- Dual burning design assures even temperature distribution
- Positive pressure design to reduce operating costs
